This is one topic I have contemplated for a while, but the time feels so right to share it. If you read my posts you know that I am all about Love, and having to speak on war is like commenting on evil when you are an advocate for good.

The truth is that all of these emotions are a part of us, and we can only avoid them for so long. Even the Bible states that there is a time for love and a time for conflict. Referencing Ecclesiastes 3:7-8 “A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

Love and War

Let us not lose ourselves in the chaos of this verse; after all, God detests the ravages of war. Right? The word is a brutal contest waged with force. Yet it is intriguingly that love can also mirror this struggle. In the landscape of human experience, we have witnessed that love can spiral into power struggles or fierce conflicts. Both love and war can often unfold in a way that is reckless and fraught with injustice.

Still, God gently assures us that “there exists no war for His children, only an unwavering love and the triumph of good over evil.” His love is a steadfast beacon, unyielding even amidst the clamor of battle, offering solace and a sense of hope. Another scripture in Hebrews 4:13 also reminds us that “We must lay everything before God, who perfectly weaves together justice and mercy within a framework of fairness.”

Let us hold this truth close as we pursue the embrace of God’s love. Whether we are fighting in the name of passion or conflict. God’s love should always dwell with us, leaving all rage, and battles in His divine hands.
