A few months ago, I had the urge to make a few changes to my life. Due to my mistrust, I labeled this as a phase, but now I have realized that this is indeed the face of God over my life. Every once in a while, the simple fix we undergo leads to acceptance. Yet, we don’t always grasp this. In my case, a journey that could have taken weeks was extended to months because of my lack of understanding and awareness.
Acceptance is transcendental. But it is important to know that transcending does not necessarily mean “denying” rather, it is an energy full of gentleness. If only we can free ourselves from doubt about what we cannot understand and allow God to reveal his light, then all things will become visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. When we dare to free ourselves from mistrust towards what we cannot understand, we learn to explore new worlds, a world full of imagination, and the mysteries of life.

Another reason I thought I held back from this transformation was because I felt acceptance was passive. Acceptance of Self, Acceptance of Others, Acceptance of the World as it is. Now I see and know how understanding is the beginning of acceptance. Jeremiah 33:3 reveals “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
God’s love helped me with the understanding of the unseen things and allowed me to accept the energies of gentleness, self-control, and compassion with myself and the world as it is. The way to acceptance is to find understanding and peace in God’s love and words, just as showed in Proverbs 3:13 “Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding.”
