To celebrate this Easter, it is only right we talk about Christ’s perseverance. In his final days, Jesus persevered and endured trials before Jewish and Roman leaders. I love to look at perseverance as submitting to God’s control over whatever situation He chose for us, yet embracing slowness without being passive. Perseverance is an important trait for every believer. Without it, we cannot learn and ultimately grow from our failures. Only by persevering can we overcome challenges and achieve victory smoothly.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the powerful story that paved the way for this holiday. It’s another profound example of perseverance found in the story of Jesus. One of the most moving parts is when He faced betrayal. Yet, despite the pain and suffering, he endured and held strong. In a moment of deep surrender, he cried loudly, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit,” and then he took his final breath. This moment encapsulates the essence of faith and resilience, inspiring us all to persevere in our trials. Even when the people shifted from the shout of praise to the roar of crucifixion. Yet, Jesus persevered and defeated death. A testament that love always wins.

Honestly, loving the way Jesus loves is as hard as the rock of Dundee. Most of us find it difficult to forgive, especially when it has to do with betrayals, hurt, and pain. But as a true follower, we must represent God’s love, remembering that the Holy Spirit empowers us to withstand challenging situations with endurance. – Gal 5-22-23.
With my experience, embodying the energy of love over the years has allowed me to unlock the strength within. Finding my most authentic self when my faith was tested, just as Jesus’s love compelled him to withstand long suffering. This constancy tests our faith and if we stick with the fruits of spirit(love, patience, meekness). Not for a day, month, or year but for the rest of our lives, we will be justified through faith.
